Job summary

Emerson in Doha, Qatar seeks a Field Service Engineer to deliver technical support and engineering services for DeltaV DCS and AMS. Based in Qatar, you will support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance, collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure reliable system performance.

You will lead on-site services, cybersecurity assessments, and documentation, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with global teams to resolve complex challenges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• DeltaV system experience including configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems, DCS/PLC programming, and process automation.
• Experience with OPC, Modbus, and fieldbus protocols.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally (25–40%).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for customers and service contracts.
• Perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and system enhancements.
• Execute on-site services including cybersecurity assessments.
• Lead commissioning, start-ups, site surveys, and documentation.
• Coordinate with global support teams and engineering experts.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians.
• Identify service and product improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and documentation requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system technologies.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies.
