Job summary

Emerson in Qatar is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver hands-on support for DeltaV DCS and AMS solutions, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. The role is based in Qatar with international travel of about 25–40% to support installations and customer sites.

You will collaborate with customers and global teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive service improvements while adhering to safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on DeltaV configuration, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of industrial control systems and process automation.
• Willingness to travel internationally (25–40%).

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical contact for service contracts, upgrades, and projects.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system enhancements.
• Execute on-site services including cybersecurity assessments and system evaluations.
• Lead commissioning, start-ups, site surveys, and documentation activities.
• Coordinate with global support teams and engineering experts to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to build capability within the team.
• Identify service and product improvement opportunities and share insights with commercial teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, internal processes, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of system technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
