Job summary

UCC Holding in Qatar seeks a Credit Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management team supporting Oil & Gas trading activities. You will assess and manage counterparty credit risk across crude oil, refined products, LNG, natural gas, and related trading operations.

The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in credit risk within energy trading or related financial environments, strong financial analysis skills, fluent English, and willingness to relocate to Qatar.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in credit risk within relevant sectors.
• Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate complex risk concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of counterparties, banks, brokers, suppliers, and trading partners.
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, market intelligence, and industry trends.
• Recommend and monitor counterparty credit limits, exposures, and collateral requirements.
• Prepare detailed credit risk reviews and presentations for management and risk committees.
• Monitor credit exposures and identify emerging risks across oil & gas trading portfolios.
• Support the structuring of credit mitigation arrangements, guarantees, letters of credit, and security packages.
• Collaborate with Trading, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and Finance teams on counterparty risk matters.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and risk governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of counterparties, banks, brokers, suppliers, and trading partners.
• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, market intelligence, and industry trends.
• Recommend and monitor counterparty credit limits, exposures, and collateral requirements.
• Prepare detailed credit risk reviews and presentations for management and risk committees.

Ideal Candidate

• 5-8+ years of experience in Credit Risk within an Oil & Gas Trading House, Commodity Trading Company, Energy Company, Bank, or Financial Institution.
• Strong understanding of commodity and energy trading markets.
• Experience evaluating counterparty and credit risk related to physical and/or paper trading activities.
• Strong financial analysis and credit assessment skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willing to relocate to Qatar or currently based in Qatar.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred

• Knowledge of Aspect CTRM.
• Professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Experience with trade finance, structured finance, and commodity financing.
