Job summary

QAFCO (Qatar Fertiliser Company) seeks a senior Construction Leader to guide multi-disciplinary teams through project execution on site. You will drive efficient, safe construction practices, coordinate between trades and customers, and ensure adherence to cost, scope and timeline targets.

The role emphasizes constructability input, risk management, and continuous improvement in project delivery, with a focus on developing national talent and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering (master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Fertilizer, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas industry, with at least 3 years in leadership/supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and organize section activities to meet time, scope, specs and cost targets.
• Coordinate work scope across departments during construction and shutdowns for smooth completion.
• Set performance targets, provide feedback, and participate in recruitment and development of staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and good engineering practices in project execution.
• Identify and implement safety programs to maintain a strong safety culture on site.
• Communicate and manage change orders with PMT and contractors during execution.
• Develop and mentor the section workforce and ensure qualifications/certifications are up to date.
