Job summary

Swan Global in Qatar is seeking a Coating Inspector / Coating Specialist (NACE Level II) to oversee coating work on pipelines and storage tanks. You will ensure compliance with project specs and ISO 12944-1, perform inspections at all stages, and document results. Immediate availability preferred for a 1-month contract with accommodation, transport, and dining facilities provided. Suited for experienced professionals in oil & gas.

Qualifications

• One NACE-certified Coating Specialist must be part of the team.
• Only NACE or ICORR-certified inspectors may inspect coating work.
• Strong knowledge of industrial coating systems and standards.
• Hands-on experience with inspection tools and testing methods.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, datasheets and drawings.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect surface preparation and coating application per procedures and specs.
• Verify coatings are abrasion-resistant and well bonded to substrate.
• Ensure coatings suitable for pipelines and storage tanks.
• Confirm client-approved coating systems prior to application.
• Document testing (DFT, adhesion, holiday, visuals) and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with contractors and client representatives to resolve issues.
