Job summary

Employment in Doha is building a new data governance function to safeguard minors' personal data across our education technology platform. You will own privacy, risk assessments, and security reviews, and you will have independence to halt releases or push back on suppliers when needed.

As a founding head, you’ll shape the policy framework, partner with product and engineering teams, and communicate strategy to regulators, school leaders, and parents.

Qualifications

• Data governance, privacy and security experience.
• Ability to perform DPIAs and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks and policy development.
• Experience working with regulators or school-facing institutions.

Responsibilities

• Own data governance for minors' data, with consent architectures.
• Conduct DPIAs for platforms and new processing activities.
• Lead security-by-design reviews before releases to schools.
• Define retention, minimisation and deletion policies for student data.
• Ensure cross-border transfer and data residency requirements are addressed.
