Job summary

QatarEnergy LNG is seeking a procurement professional in Doha to support basic procurement services for Qatargas functions, delivering sourcing strategies and ensuring policy adherence. You will handle requisitions, liaise with end users, and work within approved tenders to optimize supplier performance.

The role emphasizes reviewing quotations, negotiating terms, and maintaining price agreements to achieve targeted savings while ensuring documentation is up to date within the department.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing sourcing strategies and policies to meet performance criteria
• Process purchase requisitions for completeness and coordinate with end users to resolve gaps
• Prepare bidder lists and issue RFQs or tenders with appropriate approvals
• Review supplier quotations (technical and commercial) and support decision making
• Obtain approvals for variations and communicate changes to stakeholders
• Negotiate prices, terms, delivery, and other conditions to meet business goals
• Maintain price agreements and issue Purchase Orders with proper documentation

Job description

• Support basic procurement services to Qatargas functions implementing sourcing strategies and related policies and procedures to ensure meeting agreed performance criteria.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

• Produce sufficient knowledge of Qatargas procurement procedures in preparation for assuming role responsibilities.
• Perform assigned procurement tasks and tenders within the agreed performance criteria.
• Receive and review purchase requisitions for completeness and liaise with end users to resolve any outstanding issues.
• Recommend relevant sourcing strategies to identify suitable suppliers and communicate with suppliers for assigned commodities, prepare bidders list and issue requests for quotations or tenders after obtaining relevant approvals.
• Receive, analyze and evaluate supplier technical and commercial quotations in order to facilitate and recommend the decision making process.
• Obtain approval for variations and inform/update parties of any changes to avoid misunderstanding.
• Negotiate prices, terms & conditions, delivery as applicable to satisfy Qatargas business requirements and targeted savings.
• Maintains Price Agreements and issue related Purchase Orders while ensuring documentation is up to date and controlled for the department.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School Education (12 years).

Knowledge and/or Experience - I

• 2 years’ direct experience in purchasing/procurement within the oil and gas industry.
