Job summary

Media City Qatar is seeking a Business Planning Officer to support the development and execution of business planning and performance management activities. The role collaborates with senior stakeholders to ensure departmental plans align with organizational strategy and delivers data-driven insights for management decisions.

Responsibilities include coordinating annual planning, monitoring KPIs and variances, developing forecasts and scenarios, and supporting budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, statistics, management, or related discipline.
• Master's degree/MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience for Officer level or 6-8 years for Specialist level.
• Experience in business planning, strategy, performance management, or project management within a corporate environment.
• Proven experience working with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual business planning process and consolidate departmental plans in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Monitor business plans, KPIs, targets, milestones, and performance, identifying variances and areas needing attention.
• Develop business models, forecasts, scenarios, and analytical reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the PMO to track strategic initiatives and update plans and reporting.
• Develop and monitor strategic initiatives, including objectives, milestones, risks, and timelines.
• Prepare business performance reports, dashboards, and management updates.
• Analyze business data, market trends, risks, and opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Department Heads to align priorities and plans.
• Identify risks and support mitigation and contingency planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning, reporting, governance, productivity and cost efficiency.

The role will work closely with business functions and senior stakeholders to ensure departmental plans are aligned with organizational strategy and provide data-driven insights to support management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the annual business planning process and consolidate departmental business plans in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Monitor business plans, KPIs, targets, milestones, and performance, identifying key variances and areas requiring attention.
• Develop business models, forecasts, scenarios, and analytical reports to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience
