Job summary

NES Fircroft invites applications for Head of Engineering (Brownfield) in Qatar. The role leads multi-discipline engineering activities for brownfield modifications and offshore facility integration on a major offshore oil & gas project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering and project execution exp on major projects.
• At least 6 years in Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 2 years in supervisory/leadership role.
• Extensive brownfield engineering and offshore modification exp.
• Strong knowledge of SIMOPS, shutdowns, tie-ins, constructability, field verification, offshore standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, SP3D, Navisworks, and PM systems.
• Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering activities for brownfield modifications and offshore facility integration.
• Provide engineering leadership, governance, and technical assurance throughout project execution.
• Manage interfaces between Engineering, Operations, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning teams.
• Oversee site surveys, field verification, engineering studies, tie-ins, and shutdown planning.
• Coordinate EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure technical, quality, and schedule compliance.
• Lead resolution of engineering challenges, design changes, technical queries, and field modifications.
• Monitor engineering progress, risks, interfaces, and mitigation plans to protect milestones.
• Promote standardization, lessons learned, value improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
