Job summary

Al-Futtaim Automotive in Qatar is seeking a skilled Paint Technician to join the Body Shop team. You will prepare surfaces, priming, painting, polishing, and refinishing to manufacturer standards, ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced workshop.

The right candidate has 2-3 years of hands-on automotive paint experience, with ITI training in Automobile Engineering preferred. A high school qualification is required, and continuous training is offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in automotive paint preparation, priming, painting, polishing, and refinishing.
• Good understanding of paint manufacturer instructions, materials, and application methods.
• Ability to use paint shop equipment such as spray guns, sanding tools, polishing machines, and paint booths.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on finish quality and durability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare damaged vehicle surfaces by applying body filler, sanding, and priming as required.
• Apply paint to vehicles and components according to manufacturer repair standards.
• Carry out polishing, rubbing, and compounding to restore a high-quality finish.
• Ensure all paint and refinishing work meets quality and workmanship standards.
• Use painting tools, spray guns, booths, and related equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area always.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
• Participate in team meetings, safety training, and technical assessments as required.
