Job summary

Mashreq seeks a seniorTreasury sales professional in Qatar to market FX, interest rates and derivatives to existing clients and to solicit large corporate relationships. You will coordinate marketing strategies with RMs and TCM Dubai and manage dealing responsibilities on the FX & MM desk.

Ideal candidates have 3–4+ years in sales within a large institution and strong Treasury product knowledge, with excellent communication and analytical skills for client solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3–4 years of sales experience in a large institution handling FX, rates and commodity derivatives.
• Strong understanding of Treasury and Capital Markets products and services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork abilities.

• Market and cross-sell treasury products to existing clients and acquire new relationships in Qatar.
• Formulate and execute marketing strategies with RMs and TCM Dubai.

Job Purpose

• To market /cross sell treasury products and services to existing client base and to solicit acceptable new relationships, including large corporate clients, in order to meet pre set financial and non financial objectives.
• Formulate and execute marketing strategies in coordination with RM's within Qatar and TCM Dubai.
• Manager dealing responsibilities on FX & Money Market desk

Key Result Areas

• Achieve profit targets by marketing FX, Interest Rates & Commodity derivatives to clients in Qatar.
• Demonstrate consistent growth for Treasury and Investment business through offering sound advice and tailor- made solutions to existing and potential clients to maximize earnings.
• Identify and acquire new to bank clients to add to the treasury portfolio
• Enhance economic profit by cross selling other products and services of the bank.
• Manage dealing responsibilities on FX & MM desk. Provide adequate funding / cover and maintaining profitable buying / selling spreads for daily overall bank foreign exchange transactions.
• Managing Doha branches foreign currency positions with H.O, to maintain overnight foreign currency limits within TCM approved FX limits. Identify and reconciliation of any exceptions to the limits.
• Recording and maintenance of transaction entries in the position book. Providing regular MIS reporting to TCM HO, and addressing any queries related to Treasury activities.
• Safeguard the Bank from any potential loss by strictly adhering to the limits and guidelines laid down by the bank
• Timely execution of deals with TCM HO / counterparties to act within HO cut off times and inter-market currency trading cut offs.
• Drive country level ALCO strategies in terms of liability and asset matching and fund mobilization tactics.
• Produce market reports, research to be circulated to clients

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A Post graduate in finance or an MBA, preferably CFA
• At least 3-4 years of sales experience in a large institution, selling FX, Interest Rates & Commodity Derivatives.
• Strong understanding of Treasury and Capital Markets products and services across FX, Derivatives, Commodities, Money Markets.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, lateral thinking and analytical skills with ability to perform as a team player.
