Job summary

Byron Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Head of Junior School for a leadership role in Doha, Qatar.

The successful candidate will support the strategic and operational leadership of the junior school, promote high standards of teaching and wellbeing, and work with the Head of Junior School and wider leadership team to ensure excellent educational outcomes and a positive, inclusive school community.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification.
Proven leadership experience in a school setting, such as phase leadership or senior leadership responsibility.
Strong understanding of effective teaching and learning practices in primary/ junior years.
Experience in curriculum development, staff development, and school improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Support the leadership and management of the junior school ensuring the effective day-to-day operation.
Work with the Head of Junior School to implement the school’s vision, values and priorities.
Promote high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across the junior school.
Monitor curriculum delivery and classroom practice to ensure engaging student experiences.
Use student data to identify priorities and support improvement planning.
Contribute to policy development, appraisal processes and safeguarding practices.
Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff to support a connected school community.
