You will craft and translate written content, ensure brand alignment, and tailor messages for diverse audiences while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in literature, communications, journalism or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience as a writer/translator in similar roles.
• Exceptional writing skills with a flair for creative, engaging content; competency tested.
• Strong ability to manage workload and workflow.
• Arabic and English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create, write, edit, translate and develop written collaterals for the client.
• Apply client brand guidelines and tailor content for local, regional, and international audiences.
• Deliver content on time and with minimal edits under tight deadlines.
• Coordinate with the wider team on proposals and agency work; support project management.
• Write and review press releases, speeches, documents, timelines and presentations.

POSITION: ARABIC WRITER/TRANSLATOR

THIS IS A QATAR BASED ROLE

**FOR IMMEDIATE HIRING**

BLJ Worldwide is searching for an Arabic Writer/Translator with relevant local experience to join our Sports & Entertainment practice, working in a full-time, client-embedded role with a prestigious Qatari entity.

You will be working with some of Qatar’s leading communications professionals and will have the opportunity to develop your career in sports PR and communications. JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for creating, writing, editing, translating and developing written collaterals on behalf of BLJ’s client.

• Implement client brand guidelines and amend content to reflect the client’s preferred style and feedback, while tailoring written content for local, regional, and international target audiences as needed.
• Be skilled at comprehending complex information/brief and transforming it into engaging narratives.

• Deliver requested written content on time, within tight deadlines, and to a high standard or minimal editing.
• Ability to adapt to client’s style and requirements is necessary as in a flexible, can-do attitude when dealing with last-minute requests from the client.
• Generate and execute creative ideas across various media platforms, bringing them to life in compelling ways.
• Coordinate closely with the wider team on business proposals and other agency-related work.
• Fulfill additional duties and assume project management responsibilities as assigned.
• Write and review copies of press releases, speeches, documents, technical sheets, project timelines, presentations, work plans, strategies, frameworks and more.
• Be accurate, detail-oriented and produce quality content.
• Provide feedback to team members on written material and input.
• Streamline processes for writers and develop templates that are easy to adapt and apply to use.
• Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in written form, ability to write and edit language or terminology to meet the needs of the request or as suitable, and ability to use correct grammar.
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality concerning financial and material files.
• Computer skills, including the ability to operate software including MS Office Suite to create spreadsheets, compose messages, handle databases, PowerPoint presentations, reports, and documents, as well as project management software.

• Support with out-of-hours requests or on-ground at events as required.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in literature, communications, journalism, international relations, political science, Arabic, or other related disciplines.
• 5+ years of experience as a writer/translator in a similar in-house or agency role.
• Exceptional writing skills with a flair for creative, engaging content. We will test your competency in writing, editing and translating content.
• Skilled in managing workload, and workflow.

• Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective cross-team communication.

• Arabic and English language proficiency.

• Proven ability to perform well under high-pressure situations.
  

• Have background experience in sports writing (preferably).
