QatarEnergy is seeking an IT Applications Support professional to maintain the applications environment and resolve day-to-day issues in a fast-paced energy sector. The role covers a broad range of complex technical and professional tasks, ensuring timely resolution of issues and meeting KPIs.

You will investigate operational issues, implement system changes, train users, and escalate when needed. Strong English, ITIL knowledge, and security expertise are essential for success.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or information systems.
• 7 years IT experience with information management applications and ITIL knowledge.
• Experience developing, customizing, and integrating business applications.
• Experience managing IT applications development/implementation projects.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate operational issues and requests for support with stakeholders to resolve promptly.
• Respond to support requests via system changes, workarounds, reconfiguration, training, or escalation.
• Monitor progress and keep users informed; take corrective actions to prevent delays.
• Produce logical software designs showing processes, data flows, inputs, and outputs.
• Perform operations, administration and maintenance tasks for business apps and databases.
• Develop, test, and execute plans to verify software operation.
• Define and execute small projects; identify risks and issues affecting success.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and present issues and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with information security policies and standards.
• Document all work according to required policies.

Job Purpose

Support business functions and provide detailed IT technical expertise to maintain applications support environment and resolve day to day issues

Timely resolution of any issues and ensuring operational and project KPIs are met

Key Job Accountabilities

• Investigate operational issues problems and requests for support in coordination with colleagues and other stakeholders seeking effective solutions and takes appropriate action for resolution
• Respond to requests for support by means of modifications to system parameters workarounds reconfiguring systems training users or escalating to systems development staff or software suppliers
• Monitor progress of requests for support and ensures users and other stakeholders are kept informed Take corrective action to avoid or minimize delays
• Produce logical software designs showing for example processes objects data flows inputs stored data and outputs
• Perform tasks associated with operations administration and maintenance tasks for Business Applications Database Management Systems and related Tools amp Technologies
• Develop interpret and execute test plans to verify correct operation of completed software
• Define document and execute small-scale projects or sub-projects actively participating in all phases of the project Identify assess and manage risks and issues which might impact on the success of the project
• Participate in meetings with stakeholders and assists in presenting issues and solutions
• Ensure compliance with information security policies procedures and standards
• Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in any computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or information systems discipline.

Knowledge and/or Experience

• 7 years IT experience.
• Prior working experience in Information Management applications (Aveva AIM/ISM/Tag Management Solution, Octave SmartPlant Applications (SPF/S3D), Documentum D2 or similar applications used in the Oil & Gas industry).
• Demonstrated experience in developing, customizing, and integrating business applications.
• Demonstrated experience in managing IT applications development/implementation projects.
• Demonstrated experience in IT applications support environment - ITIL knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience in IT applications risk, security, and continuity management.
