Job summary

Qatar Airways Group's Qatar Duty Free division is seeking a Till Assistant in Doha to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales across its extensive retail network.

The role focuses on accurate cash desk operations, secure handling of payments, and smooth transaction processing using the shop's POS system.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy; English communication for entry-level roles.
• No prior job-related work experience required.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the float is correct and all POS entries are accurate.
• Process transactions efficiently using the POS system and present receipts.
• Handling money/Traveler’s Cheques/Credit cards; secure and responsible processing.
• Ensure cash and documentation is secure at all times.
• Responsible for the cash variances at the end of the shift.
• Perform other department duties as directed by the Head of the Department.
• Provide the highest levels of customer service to Qatar Duty Free Company customers and passengers.
• Ensure customer complaints or problems are dealt with properly as they arise.
• Process transactions efficiently to minimize time spent processing and packing.
• Maintain confidentiality of all company documentation and statistics.
• Notify Supervisor/Duty Manager of any security breaches.
• Maintain a high degree of stock and cash security at all times.
• Be aware of HOT SPOT or Theft-prone areas.
