Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified airfield operations professional to oversee AMOPS during duty periods in Qatar. The role requires supervising airfield activities, coordinating aircrew support, and ensuring compliance with planning and design criteria for safe aircraft operations.

Ideal candidates will have a DoD/airfield management credential, four years of related experience, and the ability to obtain a US CENTCOM medical exam and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved DoD/Airfield Managers course or equivalent and aviation related experience as aircrew/dispatcher/flight follower with a 14 CFR Part 121 or 14 CFR Part 135 operator.
• Four (4) years of experience including supervision and coordination between air-traffic control and maintenance personnel, dispatching, implementing and enforcing airfield safety procedures; monitoring and maintaining flight records; weather information and flight plan processing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam and a US Government Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain situational awareness of airfield activities and overall AMOPS responsibility on duty to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations.
• Plan, organize, and direct airfield activities including construction/repairs, ice/snow removal, bird/wildlife control, and airfield driving programs.
• Procure and manage information on safe operation of aircraft, process domestic and international flight plans, and coordinate with base agencies for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation and transient aircraft maintenance.
