Job summary

Rosewood Doha is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to manage vendor invoices, vouchers and payments within our luxury hospitality group. You will coordinate with purchasing, receiving and cost control to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate AP sub-ledger bookings.

Role involves month-end accruals, aging reports and maintaining audit-ready documentation, while upholding Rosewood’s standards of service and financial integrity in a premier Doha setting.

Qualifications

• Co-ordinate with accounting section heads for Journal Voucher preparation.
• Agree vendor invoices with the Daily Receiving Summary and verify accuracy.
• Verify invoices are attached to approved purchase orders and stamped as inspected.
• Prepare Payable Vouchers and record the related expense in the journal.
• Prepare the payment checks based on the Payable Vouchers.
• Stamp invoices and supporting docs as 'PAID' before requesting signatures.
• Verify mailing address, amounts, and signatures before mailing checks.
• Review Supplier statements and investigate discrepancies or unapplied payments.
• Prepare and reconcile the monthly Accounts Payable Aging Report.
• Process month-end accruals for GRNI and other accrued expenses.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Receiving, Cost Control to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure all documents are filed per retention policies and audit requirements.
• Assist in the monthly financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a working knowledge of all procedures and operations in the Accounting Manual.
• Prepare Payable Vouchers and record the related expense in the journal.
• Prepare the payment checks and ensure all documents are PAID before signatures.
• Verify invoices, maintain vendor communications, and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and reconcile AP aging and GRNI accruals monthly.
• Coordinate with departments to resolve invoice variances and PO mismatches.
• Ensure proper filing and retention of supporting documents.
• Report any problems to a superior and carry out other duties as instructed.
