Job summary

Job Title: Welder

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team in Faro. As a Welder, you will be responsible for using specialized equipment to fuse metal parts together, ensuring that they meet safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or project specifications to determine appropriate welding techniques
• Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, and saws
• Clean and prepare surfaces for welding by removing any contaminants or debris
• Set up welding equipment according to specifications, including selecting the correct type of gas, voltage, and amperage
• Use various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to join metal parts together
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary repairs or adjustments
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification in welding is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Welder in a professional setting
• Proven ability to read blueprints and project specifications accurately
• Proficient in using hand and power tools associated with welding equipment
