BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is hiring a Warehouse Assistant at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal. The role focuses on material entry/exit, dispatch, and safe handling of chemicals within a compliance framework.

Responsibilities include waste sorting, cycle counts, and operating equipment while following ethics and safety rules. Prior forklift experience and basic computer use are valued, with a teamwork mindset essential.

Qualificações

• Secondary school completed.
• Relevant experience in the area will be valued.
• Basic computer skills from a user perspective (preferred).
• Training or experience in forklift operation (preferred).
• Training or experience in waste separation.
• Conflict management.
• Results-oriented mindset.
• Interpersonal communication.
• Technical/functional skills.

• Record the entry and exit of materials in the computer system.
• Dispatch materials to various suppliers (internal and external).
• Handle chemical products in compliance with safety regulations.
• Identify and separate waste according to its classification.
• Move waste to the designated disposal area.
• Handle loads using mechanical equipment.
• Comply with the organization’s internal rules and regulations, including the Code of Ethics and working hours.
• Respect and comply with workplace safety and cleanliness rules.
• Respect and comply with environmental policy rules.
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the environmental management system.
• Perform other tasks as needed to meet service or operational needs.
• Perform cycle counting procedures.

Key Accountabilities:

• Record the entry and exit of materials in the computer system
• Dispatch materials to various suppliers (internal and external)
• Handle chemical products in compliance with safety regulations
• Identify and separate waste according to its classification
• Move waste to the designated disposal area
• Handle loads using mechanical equipment
• Comply with the organization’s internal rules and regulations, including the Code of Ethics and working hours
• Respect and comply with workplace safety and cleanliness rules
• Respect and comply with environmental policy rules
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the environmental management system
• Perform other tasks not included in the activity for which the employee was hired, whenever service needs or operational convenience justify it, for the period necessary to meet those needs or conveniences.
