Laminar Projects in Portugal seeks an IT Security Manager to lead our security posture and ensure ISO 27001 and SOC2 alignment. You will manage policies, risk, and the IT infrastructure while guiding a growing team to protect networks and data.

You will work across departments to implement robust security controls, drive compliance, and mature our IT function in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Qualificações

The Role

Purpose of the role

As the IT SecurityManager at Laminar, you will play a pivotal rolein managingour IT security systems,identifyingand closing anycybersecurityrisk we hold,whilstalso ensuringthesmooth operation and development of the IT function. Your primary focus will be on maturing our security systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, particularly in alignment with relevant accreditations such as ISO 27001 and SOC2. Additionally, you willbe responsible forallLaminar’sIT related policy and business rules, the managing of software, hardware and infrastructure management, and establishing SLAs for user support.

Our IT team is the first port of call when things go wrong, and the first to spot trouble before it does. From fixing the everyday snags to keeping systems, networks, and data running securely behind the scenes, they keep the business moving so everyone else can get on with their work. Your leadership and coordination will ensure that the IT team continues to deliver high quality support for all departments within Laminar.

Your top three objectives

1. Identify and mitigate IT security risks and close gaps in our systems.
2. Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC2 standards and regulations.
3. Develop and maintain a high-performing IT department.

Your top five responsibilities

1. Lead strategicITprojects: Drive critical initiatives to ensurewe proactively identify and close any security system risks whilst remainingcompliantwith ISO 27001 standards,regulations,and audit compliance.
2. General IT Management: Including responsibility for and oversight of software, hardware and infrastructure management.
3. Develop and enforce policies: Create and implement robust IT policies, procedures, and controls.
4. Collaborate across teams: Align IT efforts withourgoals through close collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective support and product ownership for core applications.
5. Functional Leadership and promoting culture: Offer leadership on ITsecurity, risk management, and compliance, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability, while also optimizing tools for support and ensuring efficient tech support across Laminar.

As a candidate, who should have:

Must-Have

• Mastery: Strong understanding of IT security systems, where vulnerabilities are and how to close those gaps. You should have experience across both Microsoft and Google environments. You should also understand ISO 27001 standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, along with proficiency in risk management, compliance management, and audit processes.
• Communication: Precise and structured communicator, both written and verbal, in English.
• Leadership: Ability to effectively manage teams and projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Impact: A track record of making workplaces better beyond just doing the basics.

Nice to Have

• Mastery: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA and knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL is desirable.
• Communication: Precise and structured communicator both written and verbal
• Leadership: A proven leader, coach or developer of teams.
• Impact: A track record of implementing scalable and repeatable solutions in projects and teams that had a significant positive impact on support desk operations, software/tech support, and IT infrastructure management.
