Katsrecruitment is seeking Ukrainian-speaking interpreters for 100% remote work in Portugal. You will provide real-time consecutive interpretation between Ukrainian and English over the phone, across healthcare, legal and public-service contexts.

Applicants must have native/near-native Ukrainian and English at C1/C2, a valid work authorization, and a quiet home office with reliable internet. Training and equipment are provided.

Ukrainian-Speaking Interpreter – 100% Remote (Work From Home in Portugal)

Are you fluent in Ukrainian with exceptional communication skills and a passion for facilitating clear cross-cultural understanding? We are seeking articulate, detail-oriented professionals to join our remote team as Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI).
In this role, you will deliver vital, real-time consecutive interpretation between Ukrainian and English, serving as a critical linguistic bridge for healthcare providers, emergency services, legal organizations, and public sector agencies.

The Role

• Real-Time Interpretation: Provide accurate, objective, and consecutive interpretation over the phone between Ukrainian and English speakers, ensuring clear understanding for both parties.
  
• Sector Support: Assist during critical calls across diverse industries, including emergency medical triage, hospital consultations, legal proceedings, insurance claims, and public service assistance.
  
• Cultural Neutrality: Accurately convey tone, intent, and context while remaining completely objective, impartial, and non-judgmental.
  
• Strict Confidentiality: Maintain full adherence to international data protection and privacy standards (GDPR, HIPAA) for all confidential communications.
  

Working Model & Location

• Location: 100% Remote / Work From Home in Portugal (Operating within flexible or 24/7 rotational shift options).
  
• Work Setup: Full-time or flexible shift rosters provided in advance.

Requirements

• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native level of Ukrainian, alongside professional fluency in English (C1/C2 level).
  
• Legal Authorization: Must hold valid work authorization in your country of residence (EU Passport, Work Permit, or Temporary Protection Status where applicable).
  
• Home Office Environment: Dedicated, quiet, and soundproof home office workspace with a stable, high-speed internet connection (direct Ethernet connection required).
