TEKEVER is seeking a UAS Technical Instructor to deliver hands-on and classroom training for TEKEVER personnel and customers. The role covers UAS systems, maintenance, and operations, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance in line with CAA, EASA, and MOD standards.

The instructor will develop curricula for initial, recurrent, and advanced UAS courses, including avionics, propulsion, payloads, and maintenance best practices, and will collaborate with technical teams to implement

Qualificações

• Proven experience as an aviation Technical Instructor or equivalent role in operations, aviation maintenance, or military aviation.
• Strong understanding of aviation systems, avionics, propulsion, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience in developing and delivering structured technical training programs.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations, including CAA, EASA, and MOD standards.
• Strong instructional, written and verbal communication skills.

Position Overview

The UAS Technical Instructor delivers hands-on and classroom training to TEKEVER personnel and its customers, ensuring proficiency in UAS systems, maintenance, and operations. The role supports curriculum development, adheres to aviation regulations, and promotes safety and technical excellence across all training environments. Instruction spans theoretical knowledge and practical skills, tailored to meet evolving industry standards and mission requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. UAS Technical Training Development & Delivery

• Deliver theoretical and practical hands-on training for engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel.

• Develop and refine technical training materials, including manuals, lesson plans, and assessments.

• Ensure training content remains up to date with the latest UAS technology advancements and regulatory changes.

• Act as a technical point of contact for training queries.

2. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

• Ensure all training meets Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), and Ministry of Defence (MOD) regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation in accordance with industry standards.

• Work with regulatory bodies during audits and compliance assessments.

3. Curriculum & Syllabus Development

• Design structured training programs for initial, recurrent, and advanced technical UAS courses in accordance with DSAT methodologies.

• Develop training modules covering UAS avionics, propulsion, payload systems, and maintenance best practices.

• Implement practical exercises that simulate real-world scenarios for hands‑on troubleshooting and maintenance.

4. Equipment & Training Continuous Improvement

• Ensure training aids, simulators, and UAS platforms are properly maintained and available for instruction.

• Collaborate with technical teams to incorporate the latest hardware and software updates into training programs.

• Recommend improvements and upgrades to training resources to enhance learning experiences.

5. Safety & Risk Assurance

• Enforce best practices for safety in technical training environments.

• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for UAS maintenance and operational procedures.

• Work with TEKEVER’s Safety Management System (SMS) to enhance a just safety culture across training programs.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Proven experience as an aviation Technical Instructor or equivalent role in operations, aviation maintenance, or military aviation.

• Strong understanding of aviation systems, avionics, propulsion, and maintenance procedures.

• Experience in developing and delivering structured technical training programs.

• Knowledge of aviation regulations, including CAA, EASA, and MOD standards.

• Strong instructional, written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

• Certified technical instructor qualification from a recognised aviation authority or training organisation.

• Experience in military UAS maintenance or defence‑related uncrewed systems operations.

• Familiarity with Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) UAS operations.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position based in West Wales Airport.

• Some travel may be required for supplier and regulatory liaison, training events.

• Occasional work outside of regular office hours may be required to meet operational demands or regulatory deadlines.
