FairPlay Engineering is seeking an experienced Telecom Specialist to design and optimise offshore telecommunications systems for platforms and facilities. The role requires deep expertise in CCTV, radio, PAGA and data networks, with ownership from design through delivery.

You will collaborate with instrumentation, electrical and process teams, producing detailed drawings and specifications using CAD tools. A senior, offshore-focused background and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in detailed design of instrumentation and telecommunications systems offshore.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Vacancy Information

As Telecom Specialist, you will be responsible for the design and optimisation of telecommunications systems critical to the operation of offshore facilities. Your expertise in telecom infrastructure, satellite communications, radio systems, and data networks will be applied to ensure that communication capabilities across offshore platforms are reliable, compliant, and fully integrated with safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

You will work across the full detailed design scope, producing technical documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and engaging with external stakeholders to deliver telecom systems that meet the operational demands of offshore environments. This is a technically senior role with direct ownership of the telecom scope from design through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Designing and optimising telecommunications systems for offshore platforms and facilities including CCTV, radio systems, PAGA, satellite communications, and data networks.

Ensuring that all telecom systems support offshore operations, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures to the required standard.

Producing detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using CAD software and other design tools.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams including instrumentation, electrical, and process disciplines to ensure full integration of telecom systems within the broader platform design.

Managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks, and meeting deadlines within a dynamic offshore project environment.

Engaging effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders throughout the design and delivery process.

Ensuring all designs comply with applicable industry standards and best practices for offshore telecommunications systems.

What You Need

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the detailed design of instrumentation and telecommunications systems with a strong focus on offshore projects.
• Strong expertise in designing offshore telecom systems including CCTV, radio systems, and PAGA with a deep understanding of relevant industry standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools with the ability to produce detailed drawings and specifications to a professional standard.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and deliver to deadline in a fast-moving offshore project environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and engage confidently with external stakeholders.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
