Capgemini Engineering in the Lisbon area is seeking a rail systems test engineer to support testing, commissioning, and validation of railway infrastructure. You will execute test plans, verify hardware against specifications, and read electrical schematics. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to lab testing, and travel to project sites as needed. The role requires strong analytical skills and English proficiency.

Responsabilidades

• Support testing, commissioning and validation for railway systems and infrastructure.
• Execute test plans and verify hardware systems meet design specs.
• Perform on-site testing including electrical schematic analysis, continuity tests, signal verification and system validation.
• Assist with troubleshooting, issue resolution and preparation of technical reports and test documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams during system integration and commissioning phases.
• Contribute to laboratory testing and validation activities when required.
• Ensure safety standards and project requirements are met on-site and in the lab.

YOUR PROFILE

• Technical course or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Electrical background preferred; candidates with a mechanical background and a good understanding of electrical system flows are also welcome.
• Experience or interest in testing, commissioning, validation, or troubleshooting activities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and follow test procedures.
• Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and work in field environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good command of English.
• Based in Lisbon Greater Lisbon area or available to work in Oeiras.
