A TechBiz Global GmbH, localizada em Lisboa, procura Engenheiro de Suporte Técnico / Administrador de Sistemas Linux para atuar on-site, colaborando com a equipa para manter ambientes GNU/Linux, gerindo hosting partilhado, e otimizando aplicações web.

O candidato ideal possui experiência em gestão de infraestruturas, conhecimento de PHP/Node.js/Python, e competências em redes, segurança e mail servers. Oferta de ambiente estável e oportunidades de crescimento.

Qualificações

• Extensa experiência prática em suporte de hospedagem web e administração de sistemas.
• Administração avançada de Linux e resolução de problemas em ambientes diversos.
• Conhecimento profundo de cPanel/WHM, CloudLinux, configuração PHP e servidores HTTP (Apache/Nginx).
• Experiência com servidores de correio (Exim/Dovecot) e bases de dados (MySQL/MariaDB).

Responsabilidades

• Colaborar com a equipa técnica para administrar e manter ambientes GNU/Linux e ambientes virtualizados/containers (OpenVZ, KVM, Docker).
• Participar na implementação, gestão e resolução de problemas de painéis de controlo de hosting (cPanel/WHM, Plesk) em ambientes partilhados.
• Dar suporte a aplicações web e stacks (WordPress, Laravel) e resolver questões complexas de PHP, Node.js e Python.
• Contribuir para redes e segurança, configurar firewalls, WAFs e monitorar incidentes de segurança.
• Administrar filas de correio, Exim, Dovecot, SPF/DKIM/DMARC e rotas de relé externas.
• Contribuir para DevOps/Performance: tuning de Apache/Nginx/LiteSpeed e bases de dados (MySQL/MariaDB).
• Apoiar migrações de hosting, contas, VMs e sistemas de correio; planeamento de DR e backups.

We are currently looking for a dedicated Technical Support Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator to join one of our clients' teams. Infrastructure Collaboration: Work within the technical team to administer and maintain GNU/Linux operating systems and virtualized/containerized environments (OpenVZ, KVM, Docker, etc). Web Hosting Operations: Participate in the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of industry-standard control panels (like cPanel/WHM, Plesk) within shared hosting environments.

Application & Web Stack Support: Troubleshoot and optimize web applications built on common web technologies, frameworks and CMS platforms (WordPress, Laravel, etc.). Assist clients and resolve complex issues related to PHP, with knowledge of Node.Js and Python stacks considered a strong plus.

Network & Security Operations: Help configure and maintain network protocols, firewalls, and WAFs (ModSecurity, Imunify360). Work with the team to identify, respond to, and mitigate security incidents (malware, phishing, DoS, etc.). Mail Server Administration: Troubleshoot mail flow and deliverability issues, you are already familiar with Exim, Dovecot, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and the use of external mail relays.

Performance & DevOps: Contribute to routine service monitoring and execute performance tuning across Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, and database engines (mainly MySQL/MariaDB, and rarely PostgreSQL and Redis). Reliability & Migrations: Support infrastructure projects, including migration of hosting accounts, VMs, and mail systems. Assist in testing and implementing disaster recovery, backups, failovers, and caching/CDN strategies.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Several years of hands‑on experience in the web hosting industry in both technical support and system administration.

OS Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Linux system administration and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Windows Server environments (including IIS, MSSQL) for cross-platform support cases.

Hosting Stacks: Deep understanding of the cPanel/WHM ecosystem, CloudLinux (LVE, CageFS, Selectors), PHP configuration, and typical shared hosting constraints and workarounds. In addition to proven expertise configuring, managing, and troubleshooting HTTP web servers (Apache, Nginx, LiteSpeed, etc).

Web Technologies: Strong grasp of web server mechanics, relational/NoSQL databases, and the ability to debug complex web apps at the server level.

Networking Fundamentals: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and network protocols.

Communication: Strong ability to manage escalated support tickets and collaborate with peers to provide custom technical solutions for clients.

Nice‑to‑Have

Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in writing Bash scripts, Python utilities, and utilizing Ansible playbooks to help the team automate routine deployments and maintenance tasks. Billing & Integration: Experience with WHMCS backend architecture and custom module integrations. Hardware & Architecture: Familiarity with high‑density enterprise server architectures and large‑scale account consolidation workflows. Multilingual Support: Professional fluency in English is highly advantageous for internal documentation and diverse client communication.
