Bekaert is seeking a technical expert in masonry to join our global team in Lisboa, Portugal. You will collaborate with internal teams and customers to design high-quality, project-specific masonry solutions, providing technical support and expertise to strengthen partnerships across diverse markets.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, is knowledgeable in masonry design and structural calculations, and demonstrates strong communication skills. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive work environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocode 6 and masonry design principles.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Provide technical support and advice on masonry systems.
• Design masonry façades and wall systems including detailing.
• Perform structural calculations in line with Eurocode 6.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and advice on masonry and plastering reinforcement systems to customers, specifiers, and internal teams
• Design masonry façades and wall systems, including detailing of reinforcement, joints, and structural elements
• Perform structural calculations and verifications in line with Eurocode 6 and relevant standards
• Deliver clear technical documentation (drawings, calculation notes, guidelines) for clients and partners
• Collaborate closely with sales, technical teams, and external stakeholders to develop practical and value-driven solutions
• Contribute to technical knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement of internal practices
• Support market growth by acting as a trusted technical partner and promoting high-quality, buildable solutions

Skills

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural degree, Higher Technical Qualification in Construction or a related field
• Strong knowledge of masonry design, structural calculations, and relevant standards (e.g. Eurocode 6)
• Ability to translate technical complexity into clear, practical solutions for customers
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-oriented mindset
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
