Sovos is seeking a Technical Lead in DevOps/SRE to accelerate our cloud-native infrastructure, scale Kubernetes clusters and drive reliability engineering. You will mentor SREs and collaborate with software teams to define SLIs/SLOs, deployments, and runbooks, shaping production readiness.

Join a global team and help Sovos deliver secure, observable, and automated infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments, while promoting IaC and best practices throughout the TechOps organization.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Administrator or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience leading or mentoring a group within a complex technical operations structure.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code, cloud environments (AWS) and on-prem VMs.
• Experience with Kubernetes and modern open-source observability stacks like Prometheus/Grafana.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a technical mentor and coach to SREs and TechOps engineers.
• Lead and elevate infrastructure teams, driving a culture of high-velocity execution.
• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs and operational standards with software teams.
• Lead design, provisioning, scaling and deployment of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters.
• Champion IaC, observability and continuous learning across the department.
• Conduct peer reviews for IaC and deployment manifests to ensure production-grade quality.
• Define and maintain disaster recovery plans and runbooks; coach team accordingly.
• Integrate reliability practices and automated testing for infrastructure.

The Work You'll Do

Experienced in cloud-native infrastructure and distributed systems, the Technical Lead demonstrates deep expertise in automation and reliability engineering, is excited by the opportunity to evolve our platform architecture and is passionate about mentoring up-and-coming SREs and DevOps engineers. This role is a blend of senior-level technical skills combined with the opportunity to lead a tier of the TechOps organization, directly contributing to infrastructure design, system observability, and overall production readiness.

More specifically you will:

• Serve as a technical mentor and coach to other SREs and TechOps engineers
• Lead and elevate the performance of infrastructure teams, driving a culture of high-velocity execution.
• Build a collaborative partnership with software engineering teams to define SLIs, SLOs and operational standards.
• Lead the design, provisioning, scaling and deployment of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, OnPrem VM’s and CI/CD pipelines
• Champion a culture of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), robust system observability and continual learning throughout the department.
• Conduct peer reviews for IaC, deployment manifests and architecture proposals to ensure production-grade quality and security.
• Define & maintain infrastructure specifications, disaster recovery plans and runbooks, coaching the team in adopting them.
• Integrate reliability practices, automated testing for infrastructure and streamlined incident response processes.

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field/discipline
• Minimum of 7 years of work experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Administrator or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Experience leading or mentoring a group or team within a complex technical operations structure.
• Ability to achieve results and troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Skilled in cloud-native systems architecture and high-performance computing patterns.
• Expert in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, CDK, Ansible, etc), managing cloud environments (AWS) and OnPrem virtual machines.
• Expertise in developing reliable automation, orchestration or custom tooling in Go, Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience with advanced container orchestration (Kubernetes) and modern open-source observability stacks (e.g., VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana) is a strong plus.
• Deep understanding of networking, microservices architecture and security best practices.
