emagine is seeking a Tech Lead in Portugal to own the technical direction of a high-performance financial processing platform. You will lead backend architecture and guide a team through design and delivery of scalable services and APIs.

The role requires hands-on coding in PHP, Java, and Go, strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, AWS, and distributed systems, and a passion for engineering excellence and mentorship.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as Tech Lead with strong technical ownership.
• Hands-on backend with PHP, Java and Go.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and RESTful APIs; AWS knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Own and drive the platform's technical vision and architecture.
• Lead scalable backend services, distributed systems, and B2B APIs.
• Make decisions on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Conduct architectural reviews and align with long-term strategy.
• Migrate services from PHP/Java to Go.
• Define engineering standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance through code reviews and mentoring.
• Lead solution design workshops and roadmaps.
