Quark- Grupo Sener in Lisbon invites a Civil Engineer specializing in structures to join our Architecture department in Sines/Portugal. The role focuses on structural analysis, development of models, and coordinating design teams on international projects.

You will work with Tekla, Robot, and CYPE, lead engineers, ensure budgets and milestones, and engage with clients. Travel and fluency in Spanish and English are expected; flexible hours and remote work policies are offered.

Qualificações

• Civil engineer specializing in structures
• Minimum 15 years' experience in single building projects
• Practical knowledge of Tekla, Robot, CYPE and other industry tools
• Good knowledge of national and international design codes
• Planning, organization and time management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work on international projects
• Fluency in Spanish and English (B2)

Your responsibilities

• Ability to perform structural analysis of solutions for evaluation and optimization during the design process.
• Development of proprietary structural models, calculations, reports and specifications.
• Management and control of structural design processes carried out by external consultants, in coordination with other disciplines.
• Support the development of plans and BIM models.
• Work independently within the procedures and practices established in the field of structures.
• Coordinate and lead design teams focused on engineering design in the field of structures.
• Ensure compliance with project objectives, milestones and technical budgets.
• Prepare complex project deliverables using a team of technical and support staff, supervising and guiding less experienced staff.
• Ability to deal directly with clients and professionals in the field of structures.
• Resolve any contingencies that may arise during the development of the project and that require the participation of the Design Team.
• Review and approve, as part of the Design Team, any modifications and requirements that may arise during the development of the work.
• Coordination and review of contractor documentation.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, with varied experiences, which will allow you to develop an interesting and enriching experience. In turn we account for a Developing Program oriented to mentoring your team role so that in the short/ medium term you can fully exercise your individual role and autonomously lead your projects.

Our requirements

• Civil engineer specializing in structures (or equivalent qualification).
• Minimum 15 years' experience in single building projects.
• Practical knowledge of industry-standard software for structural design (Tekla, Robot, CYPE, etc.).
• Good practical knowledge of national and international technical design codes.
• Planning, organization and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience in project management.
• Focus on quality of work.
• Enthusiasm for working on international projects.
• Willingness and availability to travel.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (recent B2).
