Datadog is seeking a Staff Engineer to shape capacity orchestration for its Kubernetes fleet across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure. You will influence platform architecture and scale engineering workloads with a strong systems mindset.

You will develop production Go software, lead technical directions across teams, and use capacity signals to forecast growth and improve workload placement. This is a high-impact, hybrid role at Datadog.

Qualificações

• Significant experience designing and operating large-scale Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills, ideally in Go.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong systems mindset and problem solving in scheduling/capacity.
• Experience providing technical leadership across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the technical direction of capacity management and workload placement for Datadog's Kubernetes platform spanning 100,000+ VMs across multiple cloud providers.
• Design and build systems that optimize how engineering workloads are scheduled and deployed across regions while balancing capacity constraints, reliability, and performance.
• Partner across infrastructure teams to evolve multi-region and multi-cloud capacity orchestration as Datadog continues to scale.
• Develop production software in Go to improve Kubernetes platform capabilities, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Use data and capacity signals to influence infrastructure decisions, forecast growth, and improve workload placement strategies.
