We are looking for an experienced Staff Engineer, to design and ship scalable LLM-powered systems across React/TypeScript/Node, drive architecture, and prototype agentic behaviors that push what’s possible.

- Build and ship product features end‑to‑end — from TypeScript/React frontends to backend services integrating large language models (LLMs).
- Implement AI agent systems using the AI SDK (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) with agentic workflows, multi‑step tool calling, streaming responses, and conversation state management.
- Develop and maintain MCP proxy and server infrastructure.
- Design and refine world‑class UX/UI components and flows.
- Collaborate with product and design to translate ambiguous ideas into reliable, user‑centered features.
- Drive engineering excellence, implementing best practices for reliability, testing, and continuous deployment.
- Contribute to culture and strategy, helping Ogment grow a high‑performing, mission‑driven engineering team.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on full‑stack TypeScript / React / Node.js systems.
- Expert React skills — hooks, context, performance optimization, and modern patterns (not just basic CRUD apps).
- Backend experience with Node.js — you’ve built APIs, handled concurrency, managed database connections, and debugged production issues.
- Strong systems design and architectural thinking, especially in early‑stage or high‑growth environments.
- AI/LLM implementation experience — you’ve shipped features using OpenAI/Anthropic APIs with tool calling, streaming, or agents (not just experimentation).
- Database skills — you can design schemas, write efficient queries, understand indexes, and handle migrations.
- Ability to lead projects end‑to‑end, from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
- A passion for AI — you enjoy experimenting, learning, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.

- AI/LLM: OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK, streaming responses, tool calling, agentic loops
- Infrastructure: Docker, Docker Compose, Nomad orchestration, Ansible automation, Fly.io
- Observability: Sentry, Langfuse, PostHog, Pino structured logging
- Testing: Vitest, Playwright, Supertest
- Authentication: Clerk
- Experience building agents, AI orchestration layers, or autonomous tool‑using systems.
- Background in developer tools, platform engineering, or AI product infrastructure.
- Contributions to open‑source AI projects or technical writing in the AI ecosystem.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0 flows, JWTs, token refresh, and session management — identity management at the enterprise level.
- A good understanding of real‑time features with Server‑Sent Events or WebSockets.
- Worked with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or built integrations with external APIs.
