Job summary

Open Cosmos Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design and engineer satellite hardware, subsystems, and ground support equipment. You will produce CAD models and drawings, ensure GD&T compliance, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver flight-ready hardware.

Collaborate with suppliers and customers, support assembly and testing in AIT, and author technical documentation. A flexible remote option is available, with on-site work in our labs as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong background in mechanical design and manufacturing principles.
• Adept with 3D CAD tools and file management.
• Experience in cleanroom assembly and testing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities across satellites, subsystems, and GSE.
• Produce models, assemblies, and drawings using CAD tools.
• Apply GD&T standards to ensure precision and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and project teams to ensure success.
• Support satellite assembly and testing with the AIT team.
• Draft technical documents and test/analysis reports.
• Work hands-on in cleanrooms and labs with flexible remote work when possible.
