Mission:

To assist the shift leader in organising and directing the overall operations of the department in accordance with the standards prescribed in the spa manual. To assist in the running of the spa reception, ensuring that the facilities are well maintained and service standards are being adhered to whilst handling guest bookings, queries and issues in the most professional, sympathetic and helpful manner.

Job Description:
  • Set up the spa booking systems daily and make and check bookings for the spa;
  • Check and assist with the set up of the daily operations of the spa reception;
  • Request and collect stock and supplies in accordance with minimum stock levels;
  • Study and evaluate operations and procedures and suggest improvements to the Shift Leader;
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the reception area and spa, as well as the wet areas;
  • Remove and replace towels and amenities in the wet areas;
  • Ensure all equipment are well maintained and in safe condition;
  • Inform the Shift Leader of any guest complaints;
  • Assist in providing departmental orientation to newly recruited staff;
  • Recommending and selling different treatments to maximize revenues;
  • To be responsible for escorting new guests to and from the wet areas or as otherwise required;
  • Recommend the retail products to the guests;
  • Conduct spa tours as requested;
  • Prepare and serve beverages as requested (water, tea, etc);
  • Ensure reception is stocked with guest comment cards, health assessments & appointment cards;
  • Report lost and found items and submit guest incident reports to the Shift Leader;
  • Assist with sending bills to front office and accounts departments.
Requirements:
  • Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task;
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills;
  • Excellent communication, listening and computer skills;
  • Sales oriented person.
Education/Professional Experience:
  • High School diploma;
  • Previous experience in the function (Minimum 1 year );
