Job Description
The Position

This role reports directly to the Global Process Owner for Source to Settle and will help shape and execute the future‑state vision of the STS process. As an intern, you will help lead cross‑functional initiatives that drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and strategic transformation across Coupa and SAP S/4HANA platforms.

You will be responsible for translating strategic goals into actionable plans, championing change management efforts, and embedding a culture of innovation and resilience. Your work will span process optimization, stakeholder engagement, and branding of transformation initiatives to ensure alignment and visibility across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Objectives
    • Enhance and strengthen knowledge management of end‑to‑end corporate purchasing
    • Re‑launch internally branded tools and support pages
    • Develop a consistent repository of standardized information
    • Document a process to ensure knowledge is retained when managing purchasing support tickets from internal Founder or Suppliers
  • Contributions to the development of skills and integration
    • Engagement in strategic conversations with stakeholders
    • Technical writing
    • Storytelling, building advocacy, and influencing others
    • Understand multi‑national billing, purchasing, and procurement of goods and services for a life sciences company
    • Compliance and SOX awareness
  • Contributions to the organizational development
    • Process Optimization: By documenting and reviewing SOPs and work instructions, the intern contributes to streamlining processes, reducing inefficiencies, and enhancing overall operational effectiveness. This helps the organization achieve smoother workflows and faster response times while teaching the intern about end‑to‑end corporate purchasing.
    • Knowledge Management: Effective knowledge management ensures that critical information is captured, organized, and easily accessible. This contributes to organizational learning, helps prevent knowledge loss, and supports informed decision‑making across the entity.
    • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: The intern's fresh perspective can lead to innovative ideas and improvements in existing processes. By actively participating in documenting and evaluating current practices, they can identify areas for enhancement and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 0‑2 years of experience in shared services, procurement, finance operations, or transformation roles
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with experience creating engaging content and presentations
  • Familiarity with Coupa and/or SAP S/4HANA preferred or an eagerness to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities
  • Passion for simplification, user experience, and change enablement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to branding or design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies or lean process improvement
  • Experience supporting training, enablement, or communications programs
