Vodafone is seeking an Architect to shape architecture strategy for commercial technology platforms. You will design secure, scalable, cloud-based solutions on AWS, lead architecture guidance and influence multi-region delivery across global teams.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, collaboration with Product Owners and DevOps, and a focus on reusable, simple architectures within an agile environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong business-technical blend to align tech with business goals.
• Proven experience designing secure, scalable, distributed cloud architectures (AWS).
• Solid knowledge of microservices, APIs, security by design, and multi-region cloud solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret business challenges and communicate how proposed solutions meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Vodafone Enablers on technology strategy and high-level design.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear language for diverse audiences.
• Lead design and delivery of products and services within the portfolio, aligning with Group Commercial and partners.
• Define end-to-end solution design and data models; produce interface and API specifications.

The architect defines the architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business requirements and global company standards. Acting as the main technical reference across multiple projects, they identify innovative solutions and drive the continuous improvement of platforms. The role requires strong analytical, technical, and communication skills due to collaboration with multidisciplinary global teams. The architect works closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver simple, scalable, and reusable solutions within an agile environment.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret business challenges and technical issues, effectively communicating how proposed solutions align with customer needs and requirements;
• Collaborate closely with Technical and Commercial Product Owners, Solution Architects, and Vodafone Enablers, contributing to technology strategy, high-level solution design, and the development of shared propositions;
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accessible language for diverse audiences;
• Lead the design and delivery of products and services within the assigned portfolio, ensuring alignment with Group Commercial, local markets, and partners

Design And Architecture Responsibilities

• Define and manage end-to-end solution design;
• Develop component-level solution architecture;
• Design infrastructure architecture;
• Ensure security requirements are embedded within solution designs;
• Define data models and analytics requirements;
• Produce interface and API specifications;
• Conduct impact and feasibility assessments;
• Evaluate and validate business requirements;
• Ensure connectivity with enabling platforms and services;
• Lead system integration with partners and local markets

Technology Leadership

• Provide technical expertise throughout the technology selection process;
• Support make-or-buy decisions, ensuring alignment with Vodafone technology standards and strategic architecture principles

Who You Are

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree or technical institute certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field;
• Strong combination of business and technical expertise, with the ability to align technology solutions with business objectives;
• Proven experience in designing secure, scalable, distributed, and cloud-based architectures, particularly on AWS;
• Solid knowledge of architecture best practices, including microservices, APIs, security by design, and multi-region cloud solutions;
• Ability to lead technical workshops, present solutions, and develop architecture guidelines and technology strategy documents;
• Experience with architecture and development tools, while promoting simple, clean, and effective software architectures;
• Strong expertise in AWS services, authentication technologies (SSO, OAuth 2.0), web security, and REST/SOAP-based architectures;
• Proven background in designing and developing highly scalable, resilient systems within Agile/Scrum and Continuous Delivery environments;
• Knowledge of IoT technologies (Modbus, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mesh Networks) combined with excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
• English (Fluency)
