Cisco ThousandEyes is seeking a Backend Technical Leader for the Connected Devices Platform. You will touch high volume streaming, backend-for-frontend APIs, scalable domain services, transactional and analytical databases, and more.

You will drive platform resilience, design technical solutions for new product offerings, evolve development and operational processes for speed and quality, and mentor teammates across the team.

Qualificações

• Expert-level understanding of Java or Kotlin.
• Wide experience working distributed systems especially using Apache Kafka.
• Strong architecture and design skills including data and API modelling.
• On-the-job experience with agentic AI development including skills and harness development.

Your Impact

As a backend Technical Leader in Connected Devices Platform you will:

Minimum Qualifications

• Expert‑level understanding of Java or Kotlin.
• Wide experience working distributed systems especially using Apache Kafka.
• Strong architecture and design skills including data and API modelling.
• On‑the‑job experience with agentic AI development including skills and harness development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Knowledge of Kotlin and Golang.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and modern cloud deployment.
• Exposure to a variety of datastore technologies covering transactional and analytical, relational and document‑based.
