Content Guru is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead one of our development teams at our Bracknell head office. You will guide engineers through the full software development lifecycle, maintain technical quality, and drive improvements in processes and tooling.

You will combine strong technical expertise with people management responsibilities, mentoring engineers and delivering customer-focused solutions for our global platform.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject.
• 4+ years of software development experience in a commercial environment.
• Experience leading, mentoring or managing software engineers.
• Proficiency in C#, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, architecture and best practices.
• Experience with relational databases like SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to contribute to technical design and architectural discussions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Line-manage a team of Software Engineers, including performance reviews and development planning.
• Support recruitment activities and onboarding of new team members.
• Manage performance and provide guidance for individual and team development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional team environment.
• Oversee delivery of software development work to agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Support resource planning and workload management with Product Owners.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and provide updates to senior stakeholders.
• Maintain technical quality and drive improvements in processes and tooling.
• Contribute to development activities including coding, design and testing when needed.
• Support deployment of new releases and maintain appropriate documentation.
