Entrust is seeking a mid-level Fullstack Software Engineer to join the Signals Team in Lisbon. The role covers frontend React (TypeScript) and backend services, with ownership from design to production in a security-focused identity platform.

You'll work across the stack, build scalable APIs and microservices on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and mentor teammates while upholding privacy-by-design standards. Hybrid/remote options available in Lisbon and beyond.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional experience in fullstack or software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in React/TypeScript and a backend language (Python, Kotlin, or Ruby).
• Experience designing distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Experience building and operating APIs and microservices in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of software security principles and privacy-by-design approaches.
• Experience in agile environments with CI/CD practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical decisions.

Fullstack Software Engineer, mid level (Signals Team)

About The Role

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to join our Signals Team, contributing to the development of secure, scalable applications that support digital identity and authentication services. You will work across the stack—from intuitive frontend interfaces to robust backend systems—collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who take ownership of complex features end-to-end, influence technical direction, and help raise the engineering bar across the team.

Signals Team Mission

Accelerating global expansion with locally trusted identity verification solutions. The Signals team builds and maintains critical identity verification capabilities that enable secure onboarding and regulatory compliance worldwide, including:

• Proof of Address (PoA)
• AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks
• eKYC database integrations
• eID and digital identity integrations

These systems power trusted identity flows across multiple geographies and regulatory environments.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design, build, and evolution of fullstack applications using React (TypeScript), Kotlin, Python, and Ruby
• Architect and develop scalable APIs and microservices deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Take ownership of complex features from design through to production and ongoing operation
• Drive architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, privacy-compliant features aligned with regulations (e.g., GDPR, BIPA, CCPA)
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance
• Improve system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance
• Partner with product and UX teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric experiences
• Champion secure coding practices and contribute to identity and cryptographic systems
• Identify and implement improvements to engineering practices, tools, and workflows

Key Projects You’ll Support

• Leading enhancements across identity verification and authentication products
• Driving the evolution of the Signals platform architecture
• Designing and maintaining SDKs and APIs for a consistent developer experience
• Scaling third-party integrations
• Integrating advanced security and identity features into Entrust’s identity platform

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in fullstack or software engineering
• Strong proficiency in React/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Python, Kotlin, or Ruby)
• Proven experience designing and building distributed systems and scalable architectures
• Experience building and operating APIs and microservices in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of system design, performance, and reliability trade-offs
• Deep knowledge of software security principles and privacy-by-design approaches
• Experience working in agile environments with CI/CD practices
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical decisions
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of identity protocols (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect)
• Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot or Ruby on Rails
• Understanding of privacy regulations and their technical implications
• Experience building secure SDKs or working on developer platforms
