Job summary

Cloudflare, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Agentic Discovery team to build core systems, protocols, and customer-facing tools powering agent‑web interactions. You will design scalable software across edge infrastructure, data pipelines, protocol layers, and developer tooling.

You will work on standards like WebMCP, MCP, AEO, and agent-native controls, enabling content owners to manage how autonomous AI agents find, parse, and safely execute tasks on their digital properties.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience building reliable production services.
• Solid understanding of HTTP, APIs, proxies, caching, web security, and web performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship production-ready services powering agent-web interactions.
• Build and maintain support for agent protocols and integrations (MCP, MCP Apps, UCP, MPP, WebMCP).
• Implement content controls and model-driven capabilities for agents.
• Write clean, secure, well-tested code with a focus on privacy and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, PMs, and stakeholders to move capabilities to production.
