About the Position

We are looking for two experienced Java Developers to join high-impact projects in the financial services and retail sectors. You will work in agile teams, contributing to the development and evolution of backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Kotlin. These roles offer an opportunity to collaborate in hybrid environments with leading companies in their fields.

Required Technical Skills

Position 1 – Financial Services (Alfragide):

• Java – Strong backend development experience (Required)
• Kafka – Event streaming architecture (Required)
• Spring Framework – Application development (Required)
• Relational Databases – SQL, data modeling (Required)
• CI/CD – Familiarity with build and deployment pipelines (Preferred)
• English – Fluency for international team communication (Required)

Position 2 – Retail Sector (Lisbon, Braga, or Coimbra):

• Java – 5+ years of experience in backend development (Required)
• Spring Boot – 5+ years building robust APIs (Required)
• Kotlin – 5+ years of development experience (Nice to have)
• English – Fluency for international team communication (Required)

Desired Soft Skills

• Teamwork – Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams (Required)
• Communication – Clear, open and proactive communication style (Preferred)

Requirements

• Previous experience with Java backend development
• Solid knowledge of Spring Framework and associated technologies
• Experience in enterprise-level environments (finance or retail is a plus)
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work in an agile development environment

Offered Conditions

• Salary: Around €1,750 – €2,000 net (depending on experience)
• Work model: Position 1 – Financial Services:
• Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite in Alfragide
• Position 2 – Retail Sector:
• Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite in Lisbon, Braga or Coimbra
• Contract: B2B option available
