VML in Portugal seeks a creative Social Media Content Creator. You will own end-to-end production, from ideation to editing, tailoring native short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and Reddit to a Portuguese audience.

We require native Portuguese with strong English or Spanish, proven experience in social media roles, and proficiency in Premiere/After Effects. This role offers a hybrid work model and collaboration with the Madrid hub on monthly calendars.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Community Manager, Video Editor or Content Creator.
• Native-level Portuguese with strong written and spoken English or Spanish.
• Ability to script, film and edit native vertical videos for social platforms.

About the Role & Team

We are looking for a creative, agile, and trend-obsessed Social Media Content Creator based in Portugal to bring our global brand to life across local digital channels.

This role is 100% focused on end-to-end content production—from ideation and scripting to capturing, editing, and optimizing native content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Reddit. If you live and breathe short-form video, know what makes content go viral in Portugal, and can turn brand stories into engaging mobile-first content, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Content Production: Concept, shoot, and edit high-quality, native short-form videos (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) and visual assets tailored specifically to the Portuguese audience.
• Agile & Reactive Content Creation: Stay ahead of local social media trends, viral audio, formats, and memes in Portugal to rapidly produce timely, reactive brand content.
• Brand Localization & Visual Storytelling: Adapt global creative guidelines into authentic, culturally relevant local content while maintaining brand consistency and tone of voice.
• Platform-Native Optimization: Tailor content assets specifically for each platform’s unique formats, features, and specs (e.g., TikTok trends, Instagram carousel design, YouTube Shorts pacing, Reddit-friendly visuals/copy).
• Creative Collaboration: Partner closely with the Madrid Regional Hub and local strategists to translate campaign briefs into monthly content calendars and campaign executions.
• Asset & Footage Management: Organize and manage raw media, brand templates, visual assets, and content libraries for seamless distribution across platforms.

Role Requirements

• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, Community Manager, Video Editor, or Content Creator for brands or influencers;
• Deep, native understanding of TikTok, Instagram (Reels), YouTube (Shorts), Facebook, and Reddit;
• Social Storytelling skills with the ability to script, film, and edit short-form vertical videos built around retention, strong hooks, and trend integration
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or mobile-first tools like CapCut
• Adaptability and speed, with comfort in fast-moving content cycles, quick iterations, and testing new ideas on the fly to drive relevance
• Native-level Portuguese speaker with strong written and spoken skills, alongside professional fluency in English or Spanish
