Candidate should read blueprints, measure materials, and work with mortar, trowels, and masonry tools. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified applicants, and the position is based in Braga with potential projects elsewhere in Portugal.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mason in construction projects.
• Read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in construction.
• Physically fit with good manual dexterity.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine specifications and materials needed.
• Measure and cut materials to sizes using saws and chisels.
• Lay bricks or masonry units to build walls, arches, chimneys or other structures.
• Spread mortar or adhesives with trowels or other tools.
• Repair damaged surfaces by replacing bricks or applying new mortar.
• Use levels, rulers and plumb lines to ensure accuracy of work.
• Clean and polish finished surfaces using chisels, scrapers or wire brushes.
