About the Role

Site Reliability Engineer – Infrastructure Engineer (Mid 1) at Blip, part of Flutter Entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor availability, performance, and stability of platforms.
• Collaborate with software teams to improve critical components.
• Engage in the lifecycle of services: design, deployment, operation, and refinement.
• Lead root cause investigations of production problems.
• Support services before launch through design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
• Maintain services after launch by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and system health.
• Perform performance and capacity testing; optimize monitoring and alerting.
• Scale systems sustainably with automation.
• Audit performance and reliability vulnerabilities.
• Define and revise Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
• Practice blameless incident response and post-mortems.
• Use Grafana for monitoring.

Qualifications

• Operating Systems and Networking knowledge.
• Programming languages: Python, Java, Go.
• Experience with public cloud environments (AWS, AWS Outposts, OpenStack).
• Knowledge of microservices architectures.
• Experience with message queuing services and databases.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible.
• Experience with monitoring solutions like Datadog and Splunk.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Git, Artifactory.
• Ability to push for reliability and velocity improvements.
