Job summary

PrimeDefense USA is seeking an experienced Turner to join our shop in Almada, Portugal. You will operate a range of machine tools to fabricate precise metal parts according to blueprints and drawings.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of Turner experience in manufacturing, can read technical drawings, and works well both independently and as part of a team. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and safe handling of lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of Turner experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
• Experience operating lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
• Strong attention to detail and precision tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine specifications for the desired part or component.
• Set up and operate machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills to shape and cut metal according to specifications.
• Monitor machine operations, measure parts with precision tools, and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts for quality control, making any necessary repairs or adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
