Job summary

Tether seeks a Senior Technical Product Manager to own Keet, a private, peer‑to‑peer messaging app built on Holepunch. You will define the product vision, drive strategy, and lead rapid prototyping with AI to reach billions of users.

You will collaborate with engineering on challenging P2P problems, own real‑time calling, and manage end‑to‑end product delivery across iOS, Android, and desktop platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, including significant time in a senior or lead role owning a consumer product end to end.
• Strong product sense, with a proven track record of setting product vision and driving it to measurable outcomes at scale (tens of millions of users or more).
• Experience leading engineers who ship products, including running sprint cadences with predictable delivery across cross‑functional teams.
• Deep JavaScript and React skills. You can read and write production code, review pull requests, and build working prototypes yourself.
• Intuition for distributed and local‑first systems. You don't need P2P expertise, because our core abstracts it away, but you should be able to reason about sync, offline behavior and consistency trade‑offs.
• Hands‑on experience shipping and scaling mobile apps on iOS and Android, with deep familiarity with App Store and Google Play logistics, review processes and release management.
• Experience with real‑time voice and video calling products (such as Google Meet, Zoom, FaceTime or WhatsApp calls) and the quality, latency and reliability trade‑offs involved.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to rapidly prototype and demonstrate product concepts.
• Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting vision and strategy to boards, executives and investors.
• A strong understanding of urgency versus importance, and the judgment to make fast, high‑quality decisions with incomplete information.
• You thrive in a high‑intensity, fast‑moving environment, set an exceptionally high bar, and are willing to go above and beyond, including extended hours, when the mission demands it.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Own and articulate the long-term product vision for Keet as the world's leading private, peer-to-peer communication app, with a clear path to 1 billion users.
• Analyze competitors to identify where P2P gives Keet an unfair advantage, and build the roadmap around it.
• Present product vision, strategy, metrics and progress to the board and executive leadership with clarity and conviction.
• Define growth strategy across acquisition, activation, retention and virality, with measurable targets at every stage.
• Develop a deep working understanding of the Holepunch P2P stack and translate its capabilities into product decisions.
• Partner with engineering on hard P2P problems at scale (NAT traversal, offline sync, multi-device, large groups, etc.).
• Own the real-time calling experience (1:1 and group) to a quality bar that matches or beats competitors.
• Define clear feature tiers with explicit labels for stable versus experimental functionality.
• Lead the product team and run the sprint cadence end to end, covering planning, prioritization, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Own deliverables from conception through release, testing and post‑launch iteration.
• Coordinate across engineering, QA, design, marketing and business stakeholders; manage cross‑team dependencies.
• Provide transparent updates on status, risks and timeline changes; hold discussions on accountability.
• Own the mobile release process across iOS and Android; manage App Store and Google Play submissions.
• Oversee desktop distribution and installers; build crash reporting and analytics systems that protect privacy.
