Job summary

ITDS in Lisbon offers a Senior SQL Server DBA & Architect role with a hybrid work model (up to 2 remote days per week) in the financial services tech sector. You will lead stability, performance, and scalability of production databases, and advance multi-database platforms through upgrades, automation, and cloud initiatives on Azure, AWS, and GCP.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience at senior/expert level.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server across multi-database environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of Always On, replication, T-SQL, PowerShell.
• Experience with cloud platforms Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Familiarity with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Power BI Server.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain SQL Server platforms including versions beyond 2014 and up to 2022–2025 capabilities.
• Manage platform refreshes, upgrades, migrations, and cloud database initiatives.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using T-SQL and PowerShell.
• Analyze performance and tune systems; support developers in SQL optimisation.
• Implement high-availability solutions and on-call operations.
• Administer and optimise Microsoft BI tools: SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI Server.
