Job summary

Decskill, an IT consulting company with over 10 years of experience, is growing in Lisbon and seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to join our team.

You will analyze business requirements, define architecture standards, and collaborate with global teams to ensure governance and GDPR compliance in Energy & Utilities projects.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role (up to 10 years).
• Knowledge of Energy & Utilities sector.
• Experience with reference architectures and architecture governance.
• Knowledge of GDPR implications for architecture and security.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and structured governance environments.
• Experience documenting architectures and APIs.

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect!

Responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements critically and ensure alignment with EDP’s reference application architecture.
• Support the definition, adoption and governance of application and technology architecture standards.
• Produce clear and structured architecture documentation, ensuring compliance with established governance rules.
• Document logical solution architecture designs with low to medium impact on the overall architecture.
• Design and specify APIs in line with architectural standards and business requirements.
• Communicate security, application architecture and technology architecture rules clearly to stakeholders.
• Support teams in the adoption of architecture and security principles, promoting consistency across solutions.
• Identify architectural risks and challenges, proposing appropriate solutions aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams and global teams to ensure effective architecture governance.
• Contribute to projects within the Energy & Utilities sector, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR.
• Promote best practices in architecture documentation, governance and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar architecture role, with up to 10 years of experience relevant to the service.
• Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities sector.
• Strong experience analysing business requirements and translating them into architectural solutions.
• Knowledge of application architecture and the different types of architecture components.
• Experience with reference architectures, architecture governance and the adoption of technical standards.
• Knowledge of security rules, application architecture principles and technology architecture standards.
• Experience documenting logical solution architecture designs and specifying APIs.
• Understanding of GDPR and its implications for application architecture and security.
• Experience working on projects within structured governance environments.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience using JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and global teams.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Autonomy, persuasion skills and the ability to drive the adoption of architecture standards.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality documentation and solutions.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Portuguese and Spanish, both written and spoken, is valued.
• Architecture certifications, including Microsoft or cloud-related certifications, are valued.
