Signicat, a pioneering digital identity service provider, invites a Senior Software Engineer to join the Lisbon team. You will shape case management systems, tackle security, scalability, and reliability challenges, and work on cloud-native, data-driven services trusted by Europe’s leading firms.

You will design and implement scalable front-end and back-end solutions using Java (Spring Boot) and Angular, collaborate across product, security, and design teams, and continuously evolve our platform

Qualificações

• Professional experience developing scalable and secure systems using Java (Spring Boot).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Fluency in English for effective collaboration with an international team.
• Experience with cloud environments and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable front-end and back-end web applications with Spring Boot and Angular.
• Collaborate with product, designers, security, and fellow engineers; contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing.

The Role

Join our Lisbon team as a Senior Software Engineer and play a key role in shaping our case management and orchestration systems. You’ll tackle complex challenges around security, scalability, and reliability, working on systems trusted by some of Europe’s leading companies. In our high-trust environment, your work will have a real impact on critical services and help drive the future of our technology.

How You'll Contribute

• Build & Own: Take full ownership of designing, developing, and deploying scalable front-end and back-end web applications with Spring Boot and Angular in a cloud-native environment.
• Collaborate & Mentor: Work with product, designers, security, and fellow engineers to solve key challenges, strengthening the team through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Learn & Improve: Embrace continuous learning and self-improvement. Apply new technologies and ideas to evolve our platform, processes, and engineering culture.

Your Technology Playground

• Modern Stack: Develop scalable services using the latest versions of Java (Spring Boot) and Angular (TypeScript), with a strong focus on clean code and great architecture.
• Cloud-Native DevOps: Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Docker, Kubernetes, Open Policy Agent and fully automated GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Data & Observability: Work with data stores like Postgres and Firestore, maintain system reliability through our observability stack, which includes StackDriver, Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.

What You'll Bring To The Team

• Demonstrated professional experience developing scalable and secure systems using Java (Spring Boot).
• A good understanding of software architecture principles and experience with designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• A collaborative mindset, clear communication skills, and a commitment to writing clean, well-tested code.
• Professional fluency in English for effective collaboration with our international team.

We'd Be Excited If You Have Experience With

• Cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue).
