Entrust seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Document Verification team. You’ll design and implement backend solutions, build Python-based AI/ML systems for document processing, and integrate with React, Swift, and Kotlin SDKs across platforms.

You’ll influence technical strategy, ensure security and compliance, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product leadership to improve reliability and scalability in a fast‑paced, global Identity & Security environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of backend and ML-focused software development.
• 2+ years in senior engineering roles with leadership.
• Proficient in Python; experience with React/TypeScript, Swift/iOS, Kotlin/Android, or Ruby.
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience designing scalable distributed systems and microservices.
• AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) in production.
• Agile development and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong communication of technical concepts.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Document Verification team, where you'll develop cutting-edge digital identity verification solutions. You'll be at the forefront of document verification technology - from capture and analysis to fraud detection - creating seamless user experiences across Web, iOS, and Android platforms.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on technical excellence and collaborative problem-solving. You'll enhance our document verification platform while staying current with the latest advances in AI/ML and secure document processing.

What You’ll Build

You’ll contribute to global document verification technology that spans the entire user journey - from initial document capture through sophisticated fraud detection. You’ll have a chance to help shape how Document Verification technology evolves within Entrust and across the Digital Identity industry landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Development

• Develop and implement backend architectural solutions for document identity verification
• Build and optimize Python-based AI/ML systems for document processing
• Integrate with React web applications, Swift iOS SDKs, and Kotlin Android SDKs
• Contribute to technical strategy and platform development for Document Verification
• Ensure adherence to emerging industry standards and compliance requirements (NiST, ETSI, ISO, GDPR)
• Apply software security best practices including secure SDLC and cryptographic implementation
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies for image quality assessment
• Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews and technical design discussions
• Work closely with product management and engineering leadership
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes and system reliability

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development with backend and ML focus
• Leadership: 2+ years in senior engineering roles with demonstrated technical competency
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Python or a similar language.
• Experience with at least one of: React/TypeScript, Swift/iOS, Kotlin/Android, Ruby
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Containerized deployment using Docker and Kubernetes
• Architecture: Experience designing scalable distributed systems and microservices
• AI/ML: Understanding of modern frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and production model deployment
• Process: Agile development methodologies and modern DevOps practices
• Communication: Strong skills with ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences

Advanced Technical Skills

• Multi-threaded applications and high-performance computing
• Software security (secure SDLC, cryptography, obfuscation, code signing)
• SaaS development and deployment at scale

Identity & Security Expertise

• Document verification, computer vision, or identity verification domains
• Mobile app security (certificate pinning, RASP, anti-tampering)
• NFC technologies and mobile integration patterns
• Ruby on Rails or other backend frameworks beyond Python
• Image quality assessment and document image processing
• Document security standards and anti-fraud techniques
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, ML, Computer Vision, or related field
