OutSystems is seeking a Backend Lead Software Engineer in Portugal to join the Analytics Services team within R&D. You will lead design of scalable backend services, mentor engineers, and deliver high-quality features for the OutSystems platform.

Strong emphasis on architecture, automated testing, and collaboration across teams is expected. The role requires 8+ years of experience, proficiency in C#/.NET, Java and Go, and experience with cloud databases and Docker/Kubernetes.

Qualificações

• Degree in Software Engineering, CS, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or architect role.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, reliable backend systems.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java and Go.

About This Role

To support our growth, we are seeking a backend Lead Software Engineer based in Portugal to join the OutSystems R&D. You'll be a member of the Analytics Services team, which is part of a group of teams responsible for developing the OutSystems platform.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. If you do not have one but you are really good (and can show it), we still want to hear from you;
• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or architect role;
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and performant backend systems.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and Object-Oriented Design;
• Coding skills in C# .NET, Java and Go (we use these three languages in our team);
• Knowledge of Relational & non-relational databases (e.g: Aurora, DynamoDB, Redis);
• Knowledge of cloud systems (e.g: AWS, Azure);
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Good communication skills and fluency in English;
• Availability to be part of the 24x7 on-call rotation;
